Job Openings: Copy Editor and Advertising Representative

Kunstkritikk International is presently seeking a freelance Copy Editor and an Advertising Representative working on commision.

Kunstkritikk is the leading Nordic journal of contemporary art and includes four online editions: kunstkritikk.no, kunstkritikk.dk, kunstkritikk.se and kunstkritikk.com. In the autumn of 2018, the international edition will be expanded in scope. For this purpose, Kunstkritikk is seeking one Copy Editor and one Advertising Representative, starting in August/September.

Copy Editor – Freelance

As a Copy Editor for Kunstkritikk International, you will oversee our English language site (www.kunstkritikk.com) and make sure that our language policy is consistently enforced and on a par with international art criticism and journalism. You will be working with our editors and translators pre- and post-publishing to make sure that these standards are met on a daily basis. We are seeking an art professional with excellent knowledge of the English language, preferably also with insight into Scandinavian languages and the Nordic art world. If you are able to add a bit of flair to our journalism – making it attractive to the general reader without alienating art professionals – you will be a strong candidate. You should be able to work flexibly, approximately 10 hours per week.

You will work from your own environment or in our office in Oslo, and the position is offered as a part-time freelance position.

Advertising Representative – On commission

In October 2018, Kunstkritikk will launch a redesigned online journal with new and attractive advertisement formats. We are now seeking an Advertising Representative specifically for our Swedish, Danish and international editions. Kunstkritikk already caters to a small but stable group of advertisers, and we believe that there is ample room for growth, both in Nordic and international markets. Backed by our editorial team, the sales representative will explore these markets and thereby contribute significantly to Kunstkritikk’s editorial project. The successful applicant will be fluent in English, have in-depth knowledge of the Scandinavian art world and either sales experience or a strong will to combine cultural knowledge with a sense of business.

You will work from your own environment or in our office in Oslo. The position as Advertising Representative is a commission-based position.
